History of Koh Kood

Koh Kood was initially settled when the French were taking over Thai territories in the early 1900’s. In order to make a living on the island, rubber trees were planted, coconut plantations were started, and fisheries were harvested. You can still see this happening in some of the oldest communities on Koh Kood, especially in Klond Mad Village.
